Learning Disabilites
Learning disabilities are typically discovered when a teacher or parent notices that the child is struggling to learn or is behind in class. An evaluation can be requested by the teacher or the parent and a comprehensive set of tests are given to see why the child has difficulty. A vision screening should always be included in any diagnostic to ensure that eyesight is not a factor in learning. People with learning disabilities often have average or above average intelligence.
